It may come as a surprise to you that the state's western coast boasts the perfect climate for cultivating grapes and is considered the land of vineyards. Day 4Traverse CityTraverse City - Mackinac Island: Before departing Traverse City, visit the Music House Museum where you will hear the sounds of yesteryear produced by rare antique musical instruments and machines dating between back to 1870. Enjoy a scenic drive to Mackinaw City where you will board the ferry that will take you back in time to a simpler era. Lake Huron offers up lovely views during your ferry ride to Mackinac Island.
